Professor Dr Regine von Klitzing has been awarded the Lectureship Award 2025 by the Chemical Society of Japan. The award ceremony took place at the end of September during this year's Divisional Meeting on Colloid and Interface Chemistry in Chiba (Japan).

Professor Dr Regine von Klitzing

With this award, the professional association honours the outstanding contributions made by von Klitzing and her team in the field of colloid and interface research. The focus is particularly on her groundbreaking experiments with complex fluids under confinement, which provide new insights into the order of fluids and the influence of ion-specific effects on interfacial forces. The work makes an important contribution to the fundamental understanding of physicochemical processes at soft interfaces. At TU Darmstadt, von Klitzing heads the Soft Matter at Interfaces working group at the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics (IPKM).

The Lectureship Award is presented every two years to leading international scientists whose research has made a significant contribution to the advancement of colloid and interface chemistry.
